CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) is investigating a shooting that left one person dead Monday night.

At approximately 10:30pm, CPD officers responded to a reported shooting on N Willow Street. Upon arrival they found two victims with gunshot wounds. Both were transported to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS. One victim (a 37-year-old man) was pronounced dead, the other victim (a juvenile) is in critical condition.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) has charged a juvenile in a 2024 homicide.

The suspect is charged with First Degree Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon in connection to the January 9, 2024 shooting in the 7600 block of North Bishop Drive that left a 57-year-old man dead. The suspect was taken into custody in another jurisdiction and will be transported back to Hamilton County.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – On December 28, 2025, at 11:25 p.m., the Chattanooga Police Department responded to reports of shots fired in the 5500 block of Highway 153. When the officers arrived at the scene, the suspect shot at the officers and the officers returned fire. A CPD officer was struck by the suspect’s gunfire.

The Chattanooga Fire Department and Hamilton County EMS responded to the scene and transported the officer to a local hospital. The officer is in stable condition.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.  – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) is investigating a homicide that occurred at approximately 7:00 pm on December 19, 2025, in the 1100 block of Jackson Ave.

Officers responded and located Wallace Milam (18) suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was treated on scene by CPD and HCEMS, then transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Chattanooga Police Department was notified by medical personnel
that the pedestrian involved in the crash at 5321 Brainerd Road has died as
a result of his injuries. The death occurred on December 15, 2025. The
victim has been identified as Robbie Wimpy.

The crash remains under investigation by the Chattanooga Police Department
Traffic Unit. Anyone with information regarding this incident to call

Captain Williams is one of the 254 law enforcement officers who completed the prestigious program in Quantico, Virginia. The class included members of law enforcement from 47 states, the District of Columbia, and 24 other countries, as well as, four military organizations, and two civilian organizations. Fewer than one percent of officers worldwide are accepted into this academy.

a report of a pedestrian struck at 5321 Brainerd Rd. The crash resulted in
critical injuries.

a single-vehicle crash that resulted in a fatality.

At approximately 3:35 a.m. on December 14, 2025, CPD officers were
dispatched to 181 Interstate 24-E for a single-vehicle crash and vehicle
fire.
