CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) is
investigating a claim of self-defense in relation to a homicide that
occurred in the 2700 block of Dodson Avenue.
On June 19, 2025, at 6:11 p.m., the CPD responded to a person shot call in
the 2700 block of Dodson Avenue. Upon arrival, the officers found two men,
one 49-years-old and one 50-years-old, shot with life-threatening
injuries. The officers began life saving measures until medical personnel
arrived at the scene.

connection to a shots fired incident that occurred on April 27, 2025, in
the 2300 block of Dodds Avenue.

Safety Innovation Academy (NIA), an intensive eight-week executive-level
program designed for leaders in law enforcement and corrections.
On June 6, 2025 at approximately 2:00 p.m., Chattanooga Police
responded to a two-vehicle crash resulting in a fatality in the 4700 block of Highway 58.
The Chattanooga Police Department Traffic Unit conducted the investigation. The preliminary investigation indicates that a Kia Sorento was traveling south in the 4700 block of Highway 58 when it crossed the centerline for unknown reasons and collided head-on with a GMC 2500HD that was traveling northbound.

two-vehicle crash involving two motorcycles in the 100 block of Honest
Street. The collision resulted in the fatality of a 52-year-old man.
CHATTANOOGA, TN - On June 1, 2025, at approximately 11:30 p.m., Chattanooga
Police responded to two related two-vehicle crashes—one in the 4200 block
of Bonny Oaks Drive and another in the 4300 block of Highway 58. The
incidents are being investigated as DUI-related crashes involving an
off-duty Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) Neighborhood Policing Officer,
Mackenzie Pierre.
Pierre has been charged with Driving Under the Influence, Leaving the Scene
of a Crash, and Failure to Yield Right of Way.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – At approximately 8:22 p.m. on June 2, 2025,
Chattanooga Police responded to a report of a person shot in the 3500 block
of Ohls Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located an 18-year-old male
suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
CPD's Homicide Unit responded to conduct the investigation. The Crime
Scene Unit responded to process the crime scene.
Preliminary investigation suggests the victim was driving on Ohls Avenue
when individuals from a group standing near the street shot at his vehicle,
striking him.
On June 2, 2025 at 12:05 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a
single vehicle crash resulting in a fatality.
