CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – On May 11, 2026, at 5:59 p.m., Chattanooga Police officers were dispatched to a person shot in the 1200 block of Grove Street. Upon arrival, officers located a 39-year-old male victim with non-fatal gunshot wounds. Hamilton County EMS transported the victim to a local hospital for treatment.

CPD Homicide and Crime Scene responded to investigate and secure the scene.

During the preliminary investigation, the victim stated that he heard a gunshot and then noticed he had been shot. The unidentified shooter fled and has not been located.

CHATTANOOGA, TN. — The Chattanooga Fire Department is working a two-alarm fire in East Brainerd that’s impacted several homes. This has been an all-hands-on-deck response with crews working through the overnight hours.

CHATTANOOGA, TN — Chattanooga firefighters tackled an apartment fire Friday afternoon off Morrison Springs Road. At 1:07 PM on 5/8/26, Red Shift companies were dispatched to the 700 block of Golden Place in the Views at Signal Mountain complex. 

On May 8, 2026, at approximately 10:30 a.m. Chattanooga Police (CPD) responded to a domestic assault call between two parties.

Officers spoke with one involved party. Police located the other party soon after in a parking lot in the 3200 block of Kellys Ferry Road. At approximately 11:40 a.m. shots were fired leaving one man dead. No officers were injured and the scene was secured.

Mayor Kelly re-issues Executive Order for beer permit grace period, proposes permanent ordinance change
