CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (May 15, 2026) - NOTICE OF SPEED LIMIT REDUCTION - NORCROSS ROAD
Pursuant to the passage of Ordinance No. 14312 by the Chattanooga City Council, the speed limit on Norcross Road between Ashland Terrace and Gadd Road has been reduced to 35 MPH.
All corresponding signage along Norcross Road has been updated with the change effective immediately.
The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) is investigating a shooting that happened in the 1500 block of Wilson Street Wednesday afternoon.
At approximately 12:00 P.M., CPD officers responded to reports of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers found multiple shell casings in the area. Shortly after, the victim, a 47-year-old man, arrived at a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

At 11:55 AM on 5/13/26, Red Shift companies were dispatched to E 3rd Street for a patient that was suffering from injuries related to an industrial accident that occurred in Bradley County. The patient was transported from Bradley County to Erlanger via ambulance.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) is investigating a deadly crash in the 5700 block of Highway 153.
At approximately 2:40 P.M. Tuesday, CPD's Traffic Unit responded to a multi-vehicle crash. The preliminary investigation indicates an SUV was turning across the southbound lanes into a parking lot when a motorcyclist hit the vehicle's passenger side. The SUV then struck a parked vehicle.
