At 11:29 PM on 6/23/26, Blue Shift companies were dispatched to 404 Tunnel Boulevard after residents reported being trapped in their apartments by heavy smoke. Several of them fled to their balconies to escape the smoke. One family was trapped on their third floor balcony with small children. Due to entrapment, a second alarm was called to bring additional manpower and resources to the scene. Firefighters quickly started making rescues using ladders to get residents down off their balconies while other crews established a water supply, began making interior searches of apartments to look for other residents, and initiated fire attack.

Firefighters made an aggressive push to get the fire under control by 12:03 AM. The cause is under investigation.

In total, nine people were rescued from Building E. Several apartments sustained damage. As a result of the hard work of firefighters and their well-coordinated response, there were no injuries.
