CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) is
investigating a shooting that occurred in the 2300 block of Windsor Street.
On November 24, 2025 at approximately 7:28 p.m., CPD officers responded to
reports of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers learned the victim, a
26-year-old man, was at a local hospital with a non-life threatening
injury. Homicide detectives responded to the hospital and crime scene to
conduct an investigation.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) is proud to
announce the recognition of three of its officers by Mothers Against Drunk
Driving (MADD) for their DUI enforcement efforts, including the most DUI
arrests and convictions in Tennessee.
The CPD Traffic and DUI Unit attended the recent MADD Night of Remembrance
and Law Enforcement Recognition event in Murfreesboro. During the ceremony,
110 officers, deputies, and troopers from across the state were recognized
for their DUI enforcement efforts.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) has made a
second arrest in the June 14, 2023 homicide that occurred in the 900 block
of Orchard Knob Avenue.
Arterrius Allen (DOB: 04/13/1989) is charged with one count of first degree
murder in the death of 24-year-old Cordarrius Bailey. He was arrested and
taken to the Hamilton County Jail.
Terry Scott Anderson (DOB: 03/15/1999) was previously charged with first
degree murder in this case. He was arrested in July, 2023.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) responded to a two-vehicle crash that resulted in one fatality.
At approximately 8:30 p.m. on November 22, 2025, CPD officers were dispatched to the 5400 block of Hwy 153 for a report of a multi-vehicle crash.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department arrested a suspect after officers working an extra job assignment heard gunfire early Sunday morning.
Officers in the area of the 1400 block of Rossville Avenue heard multiple gunshots around 2:57 a.m. on November 23, 2025 and moved toward the gunfire. They saw a man shooting at a vehicle. Officers detained the man, identified two others potentially involved, and secured the scene.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) is investigating a shooting that occurred at 12:33 a.m. on November 23, 2025 in the 200 block of Water St.
Officers responded to a report of shots fired. While officers were investigating the scene on Water St, an 18-year-old male arrived at a local hospital suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.
CPD Homicide and Crime Scene Units responded to investigate and process the scene. No suspect information is available at this time.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (Nov. 18, 2025) – The City of Chattanooga will provide
$200,000 in funding to the Chattanooga Area Food Bank.
“While the federal government shutdown is over, the disruption to SNAP is
still affecting our community,” said Mayor Tim Kelly. “I want to thank the
City Council, who have been eager partners with my administration, in
helping our people make it through this difficult time.”
The City Council voted Tuesday night to authorize the funding, which came
from city contingency funds.
