Web Content Accessibility Standards
Our commitment to accessibility aligns with the most recent Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) v2.2, and will be updated with all future versions, ensuring compliance at "Level AA." These standards help us ensure that our website and digital services are accessible to all, regardless of ability.
The guidelines are intended to make websites, apps, electronic documents, and other digital assets accessible to people with a broad range of disabilities, including sensory, intellectual, learning, and physical disabilities. Some examples include providing captions for audio content and descriptions are provided for video content.

Americans with Disabilities Act
The Americans with Disabilities Act prohibits discrimination against a qualified individual with a disability. Please follow the steps outlined below as you navigate your grievance complaint. It's important to:
- Provide detailed and complete answers to all questions.
- Clearly state the location, address, and contact number of the department o r division related to your complaint (if possible).
- Attach any additional pages necessary to fully express your concerns and provide comprehensive information. Your thoroughness will enhance the effectiveness of your complaint.
- Make sure to sign and date the complaint form.

The Process
Initial Meeting: Within 7 calendar days of receiving the complaint, the ADA Coordinator will schedule a meeting with the complainant t o discuss the concerns and explore potential resolutions.
- Written Response: Within 15 days following the meeting, the ADA Coordinator will provide a written response. This response will be presented in an accessible format, such as large print, Braille, or audio tape, when appropriate. It will include the City of Chattanooga's position and outline options for resolving the complaint.
- Follow-Up Meeting: Within 15 calendar days o f receiving the appeal, the ADA Coordinator will meet with the complainant to further discuss the complaint and explore additional resolution options.
- Final Written Response: Within 30 calendar days after the investigation has been completed, the ADACoordinator will provide a final written response to the complainant. This response will also be provided in an accessible format, if required, and will present the final resolution of the complaint.
- Appeal Procedure: Should the complainant find the response unsatisfactory, they may appeal the decision to a State of Tennessee Enforcement Entity or directly to the U.S. Department of Justice.
