Since January, brush crew have collected more than 10,500 tons of brush citywide. We

Friday, October 24th at 11 AM, through Saturday, October 25th at 10 PM, for
the annual Chattajack 31 paddle race.
Please note that all tractor-trailers will be restricted between W MLK Blvd
and Power Alley and must use W MLK Blvd and Chestnut Street as a detour
route.

Spooky Sing with Chattanooga Boys Choir
A swift, coordinated response to a house fire Thursday afternoon prevented
flames from spreading throughout a Chattanooga residence. Just after 11 AM
on 10/23/25, Blue Shift companies responded to the 600 block of Watts
Avenue near the airport. Squad 13 spotted a column of smoke from Brainerd
Road as they were headed to the scene. When they pulled up, they saw heavy
fire coming from porch on the side of the home and dark smoke coming from
CHATTANOOGA, TN – Starting now through June 30, 2026, the City of
Chattanooga will launch two new recycle pilot programs aimed at reducing
landfill waste and promoting responsible recycling. In partnership with
NewTerra Composting and Overlooked Materials, the city will offer curbside
food waste composting and glass recycling collection to select residents,
with the initial rollout focused primarily in the Brainerd area.
These pilot programs are designed to address two major contributors to
landfill waste:

Chattanooga Police Department, located at 3410 Amnicola Highway, is closed
to the public due to the need for mold remediation. This temporary closure
is being taken as a precaution to ensure the safety of both staff and the
public.
