EMERGENCY CLOSURE UPDATE
Starting at 4 PM today and continuing through the weekend, a single lane of Sandswitch Road will reopen between Brookmont Lane and Celestial Lane. To coordinate travel, temporary traffic lights (automatic flagging) will alternate directions every 2–3 minutes, allowing northbound and southboundtraffic to take turns utilizing the available lane.
Although Sandswitch Road is scheduled to close again next week for repaving, a prior announcement will be released to provide as much advance
notice as possible.
We thank the crews from both Public Works and the Moccasin Bend Environmental Campus for working late last night and early this morning to finish the bulk of the project, making this limited reopening possible.
