CONSTRUCTION CLOSURES


Hixson Pike - Milling and Paving

Starting Monday, July 20th, milling and paving operations are scheduled on Hixson Pike between Hamil Road and the HWY 153 interchange. The project is anticipated to take four days, subject to weather conditions. The first two days will involve milling with individual lane closures, followed by paving. While only a single lane will close at any given time, temporary closures at intersections and driveways may occur as crews work in those specific areas. Drivers are advised to expect delays and exercise caution when traveling through the work zone.


1201 Chestnut Street

Chestnut Street between 12th Street and 11th Street will be closed Wednesday, July 22nd from 8 AM until 4 PM for a crane lift.

The following locations will be closed or restricted on Fridays between May 1st and July 31st for the weekly free concert series:

EWI City Wide Reading Rally

The following roads and locations will be closed Saturday, July 18th from 6 AM until 2:30 PM for the EWI City Wide Reading Rally:

Georgia Ave between MLK Blvd and E 11th Street

E 10th Street between Market Street and Columbia Street

All street parking will be restricted during the closure times.


Scenic City Scorcher


The roads will see closures or restrictions for the Scenic City Scorcher taking place Saturday, July 18th from 6:45 AM until 9:30 AM:

Fehn Street between Barton Ave and River Street will be closed

River Street between Tremont Ave and the entrance to Heritage Landing will be closed to anyone other than Heritage Landing res dents and their guests


Twilight Hot As Hades Market


Station Street will be closed between Market Street and Rossville Ave on Saturday, July 18th from 1 PM until 11:30 PM for the Twilight Hot As Hades Market.


Chattanooga Football Club

The following locations will be closed on Saturday, July 18th from 10 AM until 10 PM for a CFC match at Finley Stadium:

Riverfront Nights

Riverfront Parkway between Chestnut Street and Power Alley will be closed on Saturday, July 18th from Noon until 11:15 PM for Riverfront Nights.

All tractor-trailers will be prohibited between MLK Blvd and Aquarium Way on Riverfront Parkway and must use the signed detour route.


Chattanooga Market

Reggie White Blvd between W 20th Street and the Skate Park/Dog Park entrance will be closed Sunday, July 17th from 8 AM until 8 PM for the Chattanooga Market.
