K9 Diesel faithfully served the Chattanooga Police Department as a member of the K9 Unit. On September 15, 2025, Diesel was assisting SWAT officers during a high-risk incident when he suffered severe injuries. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, his injuries were too extensive, and he was humanely euthanized on September 17, 2025.
