Fire Damages Vacant House In North Chattanooga

The Chattanooga Fire Department received the alarm at 11:41 a.m. and responded to 111 Baker Street with several fire companies. Captain David Thompson Jr. with Squad 1 said there was heavy smoke inside the one-story structure, especially in the living room. It took roughly 20 minutes for firefighters to get the blaze under control.

The owner of the house said no one has lived there for at least three years. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
