City of Chattanooga Stormwater Management Division Hosts Annual Rain Barrel

CHATTANOOGA, TN – April 10th, 2026 The City of Chattanooga Stormwater Management Division is excited to announce the return of our annual Rain Barrel Distribution Day on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM at 1001 E 12th Street, Chattanooga, TN 37403.

For a limited time and while supplies last, Chattanooga residents can purchase a 50-gallon Ivy Rain Barrel at a subsidized price of just $76.50—nearly 50% off the retail price of $162.99. Additionally, eligible participants can receive a $50 rebate per barrel through the City's RainSmart Rewards Program, further reducing the cost. Property owners may purchase up to ten (10) barrels per property and apply for rebates accordingly.
Rain barrels are an effective way to capture and conserve rainwater, helping to reduce stormwater runoff and lower water bills while promoting sustainable water use.
To qualify for the RainSmart Rewards rebate, residents must verify their eligibility and submit the necessary documentation. Visit the RainSmart Rewards website and use the “Find Your Property” tool to confirm residency and review program requirements. Please note that this rebate offer is only available to City of Chattanooga residents and does not extend to satellite cities, including East Ridge, Ridgeside, Red Bank, Ooltewah, Lookout Mountain, Signal Mountain, and Walden.
