Red Cross Assisting Couple After Fire On Noah Reid Rd

This fire occurred right around shift change so some firefighters were ending a 24 hour shift and others were just starting a 24 hour shift so it was a collaborative effort by everyone to get the flames extinguished.

Squad 7, Quint 7, Quint 8, Quint 6, Engine 15, Squad 19, Battalion 2 (Red and Blue) were on scene.

The Red Cross was contacted to assist the residents impacted by the fire (husband and wife), which caused extensive damage.

The cause is under investigation.

The freezing temperatures this morning caused some ice to form on the driveway and other areas as crews sprayed water on the fire. Precautions were taken to keep firefighters safe.

CFD supply brought de-icer to the scene to address the issue.
