Plan Options ( BlueCross Blue Shield of TN)

Health Insurance Eligibility
Regular Full-Time Employees are eligible for coverage on the first day of the month following their date of hire.

Plan Options (BlueCross BlueShield of TN):

Network Choices:

  • Network P: Larger provider group.
  • Network S: Limited provider group at a reduced premium.

Time Off & Holidays

Paid Time Off (PTO)
The City uses a combined leave bank for vacation and sick leave, allowing for maximum flexibility.

  • Accrual: Earned every biweekly pay period.
  • Usage: Can be used in increments as small as 15 minutes.
  • Rollover: Carry over up to 10 days annually (maximum bank of 100 days).

General Pension Plan (GPP)
The GPP offers a lifetime benefit with annual cost-of-living adjustments (COLA).

  • Contributions: You contribute 2% of gross earnings; the City contributes a variable percentage to ensure plan stability.
