Trail Quest: Introduction to Mountain Biking Single Track Trail
Are you ready to learn to ride mountain bikes? Join “Trail Quest,” a dynamic class tailored for beginners and those looking to build their mountain biking skills at their own pace.
Each class kicks off with practice drills in the field environment, with instruction on essential biking techniques, including operation of controls, balance, braking, and maneuvering. These foundational exercises are designed to build your confidence and ensure you’re comfortable with the basics of mountain biking before tackling more challenging terrain.
Once you’ve gained confidence in the field, the class offers the opportunity to transition to single track—real trail sections that allow you to put it to practice. This hands-on experience is designed to be both challenging and rewarding, providing riders with the confidence to explore trails on their own in the future.
You can choose to take one class to get a solid introduction or participate in multiple sessions to progressively refine your skills and tackle more advanced trails. Each session is designed to challenge you at your current level while preparing you for the next step in your mountain biking journey.
Registration is required. Fee is $10 per person. Mountain bikes and helmets are provided. Participants may bring their own as well. Your trip lead instructor will contact you regarding your NEED TO KNOW INFO and bike sizing about 3 days prior to the class.
