Dear Applicants,
We want to inform you of an important update regarding our inspection process. To streamline and improve the efficiency of our procedures, we have implemented a few changes that will affect how inspections are conducted moving forward.
Key Changes:
- Updated Inspection Scheduling: We have moved to a more flexible scheduling system to ensure better alignment with applicant availability. You will now have more options for selecting an inspection date and time that works best for you.
- Deactivation of "Inspection Requests" Record Types: We have deactivated all of the "Inspection Requests" record types. These steps are now built directly into the specific permit record types. For example, the mechanical inspection step is now part of the mechanical permit record, eliminating the need for applicants to create separate inspection request records. This change simplifies the process and ensures a more efficient workflow.
- Streamlined Reporting: Following the inspection, you will receive a clear and detailed report outlining the findings and next steps. This is designed to ensure greater transparency and allow for faster follow-up actions.
Tutorial Video: Learn About the New Inspection Process
To help you understand these changes and make the most of the updated process, we have created a tutorial video that explains everything step-by-step. This video covers the new scheduling system, the changes related to inspection records, and more. You can watch the video here:
We encourage you to watch the video before your next inspection to ensure you're fully prepared.
