FY2026 Neighborhood Services Action Grant Application

Award Selection

We anticipate awarding approximately 16 awards in amounts ranging up to $1,500 One application per association will be considered. This award is for one time purchases of publicly visible items like sign toppers, banners, meeting signs, neighborhood entry way markers or the refurbishment thereof etc. It does not include things like- block parties, swag, newsletters etc. Please address any questions to Steve at slamb@chattanooga.gov.

Application Timeline

The grant application will open on June, 2nd 2025 and will remain open until June, 30th at  4:00 PM. On June 5th 2025 Neighborhood Services will hold a voluntary 2 hour workshop for any groups that would like some assistance. Grant awards will be announced July, 14 2025. All projects must be paid for by  August 18th, 2025. Finally,  a simple form must be submitted within 30 days of project completion showing:

1) What was created or installed

2) How were residents engaged.

3) Photos and stories of community impact.

Grant Award Selection Process

This is a grant program with limited funding.  Qualifying neighborhoods will be identified by a selection committee who will review all applications. 

Neighborhood Services staff will:

• Provide guidance to the community group in selecting and procuring vendors 

• Pay for all approved project/program costs 

• Meet with neighborhood groups as needed.

• Give one pre-application workshop.
