About Judge Sherry Paty
Judge Sherry Paty was elected to the office of City Court Judge by the voters of Chattanooga and was sworn in as Judge on August 20, 2004. Judge Paty is a lifelong resident of Chattanooga.
Judge Paty is a member of the Tennessee Municipal Judges Conference and served as President from 2016-2018. In November, 2021, Judge Paty was awarded the Susan G. Lee Award of Excellence by the Tennessee Municipal Judges Conference. The Conference is comprised of 250-300 Municipal Judges in the State of Tennessee. This award is presented to one Judge within the conference each year who has made a significant contribution to the Conference. Judge Paty serves as currentPresident of the Tennessee Municipal Judges Conference.
