CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department honored its
officers, professional staff, and community partners at the department's
Annual Awards Ceremony held on March 6, 2025. The ceremony celebrated
individuals whose extraordinary skill, professionalism, leadership, and
actions saved lives and improved community safety during the 2024 calendar
year.
Chief John Chambers opened the ceremony by commending the honorees by
expressing his gratitude, stating, “It’s an honor for me to be here and to
be part of this momentous occasion. This night is a representation, a mere
glimpse into one year’s worth of selfless service and sacrifice of the men
and women of the Chattanooga Police Department. Your continued dedication
to this department and the community we serve is nothing less than
impressive.”
More than 60 employees, volunteers, and law enforcement partners received
awards across 20 categories. Thirteen more received Life Saving medals.
Councilwoman Raquetta Dotley and Local 3 News Anchor Greg Glover served as
co-emcees for the ceremony. CPD thanks them, Signal Mountain Police Chief
Mike Williams, CPD Citizens’ Police Academy Alumni, CPD Explorers, and
Ridgedale Baptist Church for their assistance in making the 2024 CPD Awards
Ceremony an enjoyable, entertaining evening.
