Mayor’s Councils

All councils serve as vital community advisory bodies within the Office of Community Engagement, helping ensure that the voices of Chattanooga residents are represented in local government decision-making. Together, these councils are committed to fostering meaningful civic participation, inclusivity, and collaboration across generations and abilities. While each council focuses on a specific population—youth, older adults, or individuals with disabilities—they share a common purpose: providing guidance and recommendations to city leadership that help create a more equitable, accessible, and connected Chattanooga.
