EMERGENCY CLOSURE

Glass Street at North Chamberlain Ave

The Chattanooga Department of Public Works has shut down the following locations due to a structurally unsound building:

2400 Block of Glass Street

2400 Block of N Chamberlain Ave

All surrounding sidewalks

Building inspectors are on-site to conduct a full and thorough inspection to determine the next steps to stabilize the structure, which may include the need for immediate demolition.

Closures are for the safety of the general public. Additional announcements will be made as the inspections progress.

Alternative routes are strongly recommended.
