National Family Justice Center Leader Casey Gwinn to Keynote Chattanooga Leadership Breakfast and Lead Community FJC 2030 Vision Summit
A two-day event will unite elected officials, justice partners, and community leaders to strengthen survivor safety and coordinated response
efforts.
Chattanooga, Tenn. (February 24, 2026) - The Dr. Carol B. Berz Family Justice Center (FJC) will welcome nationally recognized leader Casey Gwinn, founder of Alliance for HOPE International and visionary of the global Family Justice Center movement, to Chattanooga on March 3-4 for a Leadership Breakfast and community-wide 2030 Strategic Vision Summit.
Gwinn, a former prosecutor and internationally respected authority on domestic violence intervention, has helped launch and strengthen more than 300 Family Justice Centers across the United States and internationally. His visit comes as Chattanooga leaders continue shaping the community’s 2030 Strategic Vision focused on survivor safety, coordinated response, and preventing domestic violence homicides.
On March 3, Gwinn will keynote the Leadership Breakfast, addressing elected officials, justice system partners, nonprofit leaders, and municipal stakeholders. His remarks will focus on national best practices, preventing domestic violence homicides, strengthening High-Risk Intervention efforts, and the power of coordinated community response. He will also highlight the role of hope as a measurable predictor of well-being, emphasizing that when communities intervene early, close system gaps, and respond intentionally to high-risk cases, they not only prevent violence, they help restore a survivor’s belief in a safer future.
On March 4, the Family Justice Center will host a Strategic Planning summit designed to engage leaders from all sectors, including nonprofit organizations, law enforcement, prosecutors, healthcare, education, faith communities, business leaders, and municipal representatives, in shaping the next phase of coordinated response. The session will focus on identifying system gaps, strengthening early intervention in high-risk cases, and building forward-looking strategies to improve safety, accountability, and long-term outcomes for survivors and their children.
“Over the past decade, our community has made meaningful progress in strengthening collaboration and improving access to services,” said Regina McDevitt, Executive Director of the Dr. Carol B. Berz Family Justice Center. “Yet every domestic violence homicide reminds us there is more work to do. Preventing these tragedies requires earlier intervention and stronger coordination. The purpose of the Family Justice Center is to bring systems together so survivors do not navigate trauma alone. When we work side by side, we close critical gaps and create real pathways to safety, accountability, and hope. The model is nationally recognized for improving system coordination and reducing the risk of lethal violence.”
Leaders from all sectors are encouraged to take action and be part of this historic and critical effort to shape the future of safety in our
community. Those committed to strengthening collaboration and preventing domestic violence homicides are invited to contact the Family Justice Center to participate in the 2030 Vision Summit on March 4.
The media is invited to attend the Leadership Breakfast on March 3, and we encourage community leaders to attend the 2030 Vision Summit. Space is limited. Register at https://forms.gle/VvivUa5AQPjUmdS49
