Memorial Day Holiday
Garbage and Recycle Collection and Site Schedule
Chattanooga, TN-- Garbage and Recycle collection scheduled for Memorial
Day, Monday, May 26th, 2025, will be collected as normal. There will be no
changes to the collection day. Please place containers along the curbside by
7:00 AM on collection day to ensure pickup.
The Birchwood Landfill and the Wood Recycle Center will be closed on
Monday, May 26th, 2025, and will reopen on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025.
The Refuse Collection Centers, Household Hazardous Waste Facility, and
Recycle Collection Centers will be closed Monday, May 26th, 2025, and will
reopen Tuesday, May 27th, 2025.
Residents may call 311 for any additional information Monday through
Friday, 8:00 AM until 6:00 PM

infrastructure: its design, construction, and maintenance; the City's
stormwater system; the collection and disposal of garbage, brush,
