Passerby Notices Smoke, Alerts CFD To Small Church Fire

Police officers forced open a door and were met with more black smoke.

Firefighters arrived on the scene and put the fire out quickly.

It happened inside a classroom.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

No one was at the church at the time, but crews conducted two searches to confirm.

There were no injuries.

Station 1, Station 5, Station 9, Station 4 and Battalion 1 & 2 responded, along with HCEMS, Chattanooga police and EPB.
