At approximately 1 AM a call came in for a residential fire at 6945 Hickory
View Ln. The reporting party advised a fire in the garage. E8 (Blue shift)
arrived on scene and found heavy fire and smoke in the garage that was
advancing into the home. An aggressive interior attack knocked the fire
down quickly and stopped any further spread into the living space. All
residents were said to be out of the structure, but a primary and secondary
search were conducted by L7 and E6 to make sure no one was missed. The fire
was brought under control within 45 minutes. There was significant damage
to the structure, no reported injuries, and the cause remains under
investigation. The Red Cross is assisting the residents.
