CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (January 9, 2026)— The North River Civic Center Concert Series: In the Heart of Hixson invites the public to attend a free concert by the Sweet Georgia Sound ensemble on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. This musical series invites local musicians and bands to perform monthly for residents in Hamilton County and the Chattanooga Metropolitan areas.
Sweet Georgia Sound, Chattanooga’s renowned big band, will bring an evening of classic big band and jazz-inspired music to the community, offering residents and visitors an opportunity to experience live music in an accessible and welcoming setting.
This event is made possible through collaboration with the City of Chattanooga Department of Community Development and the Tennessee Arts Commission, whose support helps expand access to the arts across
communities throughout the state.
