Streambank restoration uses native plantings, bioengineering techniques, and erosion-control materials–like coir logs and livestaking– to stabilize eroding banks and rebuild healthy riparian zones. By improving bank stability and reducing sediment runoff, these projects enhance water quality, strengthen flood resilience, and create diverse habitat for fish, birds, and pollinators. The result is a healthier stream system that benefits both the surrounding ecosystem and the community.
