7 BRIDGES MARATHON <https://sevenbridgesmarathon.com/>- TRAFFIC IMPACT
On Sunday, October 19th, from 4 AM to 2 PM (estimated)*, several full and
partial closures will be implemented for the annual Seven Bridges Marathon
in downtown Chattanooga and on the riverfront. The full marathon begins at
7 AM on Tremont Street (Leslie Allen Jordan Way) in front of the
Chattanooga Theatre Center. Officers will be located at all major
intersections to allow vehicles to cross the marathon route between
runners. Closed or restricted streets will reopen immediately once the
final fleet of runners has passed each location.

The following areas will see closures or restrictions as described between
4 AM until 2 PM (estimated):
NORTHSHORE
- River Street between Fehn Street and Tremont Street will be closed
- Fehn Street will be closed
- Tremont Street between Frazier Ave and the Theatre Center will be closed
- Frazier Avenue eastbound, right lane between Manufacturers Road and
Market Street will be closed - Frazier Avenue ramp to Barton Avenue northbound will be closed as the
fleet of runners passes this location - Barton Avenue southbound, right lane will be closed across Veterans
Bridge - The Manufacturers Road eastbound lane will be shifted into the middle
lane; Two-way traffic will be maintained between Hwy 27 and Cherokee Blvd
PLEASE NOTE: A designated path was created across the Walnut Street
Bridge work area for race participants, race officials, and emergency
services ONLY. The Walnut Street Bridge is NOT open to the general public
before, during, or after the marathon.
DOWNTOWN
- Market Street southbound, the right lane will be closed between Frazier
Ave and 4th Street. - 4th Street westbound, right lane will be closed between Market Street
and HWY 27 - HWY 27 northbound ramp from Market Street onto HWY 27 will be closed
briefly as the fleet of runners passes this location. - HWY 27 northbound, far right lane, and the Manufacturers Blvd exit will
be closed as the fleet of runners passes this location.
BLUFF VIEW ART DISTRICT / BATTERY PLACE / RIVERSIDE DRIVE
- Runners will share the road with traffic within the Bluff View Art
District, including E 2nd Street and Spring Street. Please use caution. - Runners will share the road with traffic within Battery Place, including
E 1st Street and Mabel Street. Please use caution. - The right, westbound lane of Riverside Drive between the Tennessee
Riverpark Curtain Pole Road Trailhead and Houston Street will be closed.
TENNESSEE RIVERWALK / SOUTH CHICKAMAUGA CREEK GREENWAY
The following locations will have officers present to hold traffic until
runners clear:
River Terminal Road, Riverport Road, Judd Road, Winterhaven Drive, and
Caine Lane.
Drivers are encouraged to use extra caution when around running
participants. Please obey all instructions from local law enforcement

ADDITIONAL SPECIAL EVENT ROAD CLOSURES
Groove On The Green
W 8th Street between Chestnut Street and Pine Street will be closed on
Friday, October 17th, from 5 PM until 11 PM for Groove On The Green.
Pride Of The Southland Band Performance

Finley Stadium will undergo the following road closures and restrictions
for the performance of the Pride Of The Southland Band on Friday, October
17th, from 10 AM until 3 PM.
Full Closure:
- W 19th Street between Reggie White Blvd and Chestnut Street
- Reggie White Blvd between the Skate Park north entrance and W 19th Street
University of Tennessee at Chattanooga Football Game

Finley Stadium will undergo the following road closures and restrictions in
anticipation of large crowds attending the UTC Mocs vs ETSU Football Game.
These will take place on Saturday, October 18th, from 6 AM until 6:30 PM:
Full Closure:
- Chestnut Street between W 19th Street and W 17th Street
- W 19th Street between Reggie White Blvd and Chestnut Street
- Reggie White Blvd between W 19th Street / Skate Park south entrance and
W Main Street
Restrictions:
All street parking within the closure will be restricted
Westbound right lane of W 20th Street between Chestnut Street and W Main
Street
