Chattanooga, Tenn. (September 19, 2024) - The City of Chattanooga, in partnership with La Paz Chattanooga, Highland Park Commons, and The Bethlehem Center, will host the city's 2nd annual Hispanic Heritage Festival and the Beth Cup Soccer Tournament on Saturday, September 21, 2024 in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month.
“We are thrilled to continue this tradition of honoring and celebrating the contributions of the Latino community in Chattanooga,” said Mayor Tim Kelly. “This event not only highlights the rich cultural heritage of our Hispanic neighbors, but also unites our entire community through food, music, and soccer.”
The Hispanic Heritage Festival is part of Hispanic Heritage Month, a celebration from September 15 to October 15 honoring the history, culture, and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean, and Central and South America.
This Hispanic Heritage Festival is free, open to the public, and will take place from 12:00 - 7:00 PM at Highland Park located at Commons, 2000 Union Ave., Chattanooga, TN. 37404.
In addition to enjoying food, activities, and arts and crafts from local vendors, the festival will feature live performances by Latino musicians, DJs, folkloric dancers, and The Pop Up Project from 12-4:00 PM. The Beth Cup soccer tournament, which coincides with the Hispanic Heritage Month celebration, will occur from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, where local teams will compete in a friendly competition.
