Deadly Crash - 5700 Highway 153 SB

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. -- The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) is investigating a deadly crash in the 5700 block of Highway 153.

At approximately 2:40 P.M. Tuesday, CPD's Traffic Unit responded to a multi-vehicle crash. The preliminary investigation indicates an SUV was turning across the southbound lanes into a parking lot when a motorcyclist hit the vehicle's passenger side. The SUV then struck a parked vehicle.

Hamilton County EMS responded and pronounced the motorcycle rider, a 19-year-old male, deceased on the scene. No other injuries were reported.
