Man rescued from two-alarm apt fire

Chattanooga firefighters saved an elderly male from an overnight fire. At 1:30 AM on 7/5/26, Blue Shift companies were dispatched to the Rosemont Apartments on Glenwood Parkway.

Ladder 5 arrived on the scene and found smoke and flames visible on the second floor. Citizens told CFD personnel that one person was trapped in the apartment that was burning. Firefighters made entry and rescued the elderly male down and out of the apartment. 

He complained of minor smoke inhalation and after being checked out by HCEMS, he denied transport to the hospital. Crews arrived on scene at 1:34 AM and had the fire out at 1:43 AM.
