Chattanooga firefighters had a quick knockdown on a house fire Saturday
afternoon. At 4:15 PM on 11/8/25, Blue Shift companies responded to the 900
block of Sheridan Court on a residential fire with reported entrapment of
possibly one occupant. While enroute to the scene, a second alarm was
requested to bring additional units to the scene. Engine 4 arrived with
flames and heavy smoke visible. Engine 4 made an offensive attack through
the front door and found smoke with little fire inside so they advanced out
the back door where piles of garbage were on fire next to the house in the
backyard. The fire had extended up the wall and into the attic. Ladder 5
and Squad 1 arrived on scene and conducted primary and secondary searches
with no victims found. The second alarm was canceled and the fire was
brought under control in about 15 minutes. The cause is under
investigation. There were no injuries.
