Construction at the new Chattown Skatepark is progressing steadily. Since demolition and construction began in November, the team has successfully installed all erosion control and interior drainage. Currently, 90% of the grading for the subgrade is complete, and the foundations for the new bathroom facilities have officially broken ground.

In partnership with California Skateparks, the first features are now being formed, with concrete spraying scheduled to begin next week. Beyond the skateable terrain, the project includes a dedicated event space, an updated dog park, and modern bathrooms designed with skateable roofs. This project is transforming a key downtown recreational space into a modern, multimodal family amenity. The City of Chattanooga looks forward to opening this state-of-the-art addition to our park system in 2026.
