PARADE SCHEDULED FOR FRIDAY, MAY 2ND
GRAN FONDO HINCAPIE – START/FINISH LINE SET-UP

The following roads and intersections will be closed during the associated
dates/times for Gran Fondo Hincapie set-up of vendors and start/finish line:
Thursday, May 1st at 5 PM until Saturday, May 3rd at 6 PM:
Houston Street between E MLK Blvd and E 11th Street. Detour via Lindsay
Street
Friday, May 2nd at Noon until Saturday, May 3rd at 6 PM*:
E MLK Blvd between Lindsay Street and Houston Street
*PLEASE NOTE, NIGHTFALL CLOSURE AND GRAN FONDO WILL OCCUR TOGETHER ON
FRIDAY NIGHT. LINDSAY STREET WILL BE LEFT OPEN FOR TRAFFIC TO PASS THROUGH
BOTH CLOSURES.
GRAN FONDO HINCAPIE BIKE RACE - SATURDAY, MAY 3RD, 2025

Cyclists will be escorted by CPD officers starting at 8 AM on Saturday, May
3rd, beginning from E Martin Luther King Blvd, turning north onto Market
Street. CPD will be present at all intersections on Market Street,
crossing into North Shore, and continuing onto Cherokee Boulevard. Please
watch for instructions from these officers, as the cyclists will be given
the right of way while an officer is present.
A secondary route traveling Manufacturers Road will have officers present
at both HWY 27 ramps and at the entrance of Renaissance Park.
The first returning cyclists are expected back in Chattanooga around 10:00
AM.
Inbound cyclists for the Gran and Medio Routes will return via Tiftonia via
Cummings Road, Wauhatchie Pike, Cummings Highway and turning onto Old
Wauhatchie Pike and travel to the finish line located near the intersection
of Old Wauhatchie Pike / Scenic Highway.
The intersection of Old Wauhatchie Pike and Scenic Highway will have
officers present to flag traffic to a stop and allow cyclists to travel
downhill on Scenic Highway and then into the right, eastbound lane of
Cummings Highway.
Once reaching Broad Street, cyclists will turn on W 33rd, then travel north
on Alton Park Blvd / Market Street, right on W 12th Street, continuing onto
Houston Street, and back to the closure on E Martin Luther King Blvd.
Officers will be located at major intersections/traffic lights for the
inbound cyclists.
Cyclists will be required to ride with traffic while following the rules of
the road. This is an open course, so expect cyclists throughout the city.
Please pay close attention to the officer's instructions when CPD is
present.
Most cyclists should complete their routes by 4:00 PM.

The following roads and intersections will be closed every Friday from May
2nd through July 4th, 2025, for Nightfall. Closure times are noted:
3 PM until Midnight
Cherry Street between E MLK Blvd/Georgia Ave and E 8th Street. Access
will be maintained to the parking garage from E 8th Street.
5:30 PM until Midnight*
- Martin Luther King Blvd between Broad Street and Lindsay Street
- Market Street between 10th Street and 8th Street
- Georgia Ave between E 10th Street and Patten Parkway
- All street parking within the above closures
*July 4th Only: All closures except Cherry Street will begin at 4 PM
ODD MARKET: MAY MAYHEM

E 14th Street between S Holtzclaw Ave and Gulf Street will be closed
Saturday, May 3rd (all day) for the annual Odd Market. Detour via Main
Street.
FRAZIER FESTIVAL SPRING 2025

Frazier Ave between Market Street and Delmont Street will close on
Saturday, May 3rd, from 9 AM until 7 PM for the first annual Frazier
Festival.
The NorthShore Electric Shuttle will not operate within the closure area,
but will use Veterans Bridge to access the stop at the NorthShore Parking
Garage.
The new bike and pedestrian path will remain open for the duration.
During this closure, NO THROUGH VEHICLE TRAFFIC will be permitted between
Veterans Bridge and Market Street. Through traffic between these two points
will need to cross the Tennessee River and utilize 4th Street as a detour.
