UPDATE: CPD Arrests Suspect in Shooting - 4600 Hwy 58

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn

The Chattanooga Police Department arrested a suspect in connection with the homicide of a 27-year-old that occurred on May 3, 2026 in the 4600 block of Highway 58.

CPD's Homicide Unit charged 19-year-old Nicalos Moore (DOB 09/18/2006) with First Degree Murder and two counts of Tampering with Evidence. Moore is in custody at the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.

Shooting – 4600 Block of Hwy 58

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn

The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) is investigating a shooting that occurred at approximately 1:00 am in the 4600 block of Hwy 58.

Officers responded to a report of a person shot. Upon arrival, officers located a 27-year-old male with a gunshot wound. Officers attempted life-saving measures before EMS transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

CPD Homicide and Crime Scene Units responded to investigate and process the scene. No suspect information is currently available.
