Incident Number – 25-037554
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) is
investigating a homicide that occurred on Interstate 24 Eastbound near the
Westside Drive exit.
On May 4, 2025, at 2:57 a.m., CPD responded to a person shot call in the
18100 block of Interstate 24 Eastbound. When the officers arrived on the
scene, they found a 22-year-old man with life-threatening injuries inside a
vehicle.
Chattanooga Fire and Hamilton County EMS responded to the scene. The
victim died at the scene.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – On April 30, 2025, at 6:50 p.m., Chattanooga Police
responded to shots fired in the 5200 block of Tacoa Circle. While on the
scene, the officers were informed a person arrived at a local hospital with
a gunshot injury. When the officers arrived at the hospital, they found a
50-year-old woman with non-life-threatening injuries.
CPD's Homicide Unit responded to conduct the investigation. The Crime
Scene Unit responded to process the crime scene.

officers will embark on an approximately 800-mile cycling tour to honor law
enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty and to support the
families they leave behind. The ride is part of the 2025 Law Enforcement
United (LEU) Road to Hope—a national memorial event that brings together
officers from across the country, making stops to honor the fallen along
the route.

The 1800 block of S Lyerly Street is currently closed due to a broken water
main. Tennessee American Water crews are on-site and working to isolate the
break by closing nearby valves. Repairs are anticipated to extend into the
evening, and potentially into Thursday morning.

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department arrested
24-year-old Reginald Siler in relation to the shooting that occurred in the
2300 block of Glass Street on January 26.
The preliminary investigation shows Siler began shooting towards a group of
people. A nearby armed security guard returned fire at the suspect,
ultimately striking Siler. After he was shot, Siler was transported to a
local hospital in a personally owned vehicle.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – On April 22, 2025, Chattanooga Police, with
assistance from the U.S. Marshals Service, located and arrested Cordai
Miree, 18, in connection with the March 14 shooting in the 4900
block of Central Avenue.
Following a thorough investigation by multiple CPD investigative units, the
case was presented to a Hamilton County Grand Jury on April 14, 2025,
resulting in formal indictments.
