Chattanooga, Tennn. - The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) has arrested
the suspect connected to a bank robbery and an attempted bank robbery that
occurred in Hixson, TN on October 4, 2025. The same suspect is also charged
with Aggravated Robbery for another bank robbery committed the morning of
October 6, 2025.
David Taylor, 64, was taken into custody without incident after returning
to one of the banks involved in Saturday’s incidents. During the robbery,
Taylor demanded money from tellers while pointing a firearm at them. He was

and attempted robbery that occurred over the weekend.
The Chattanooga Police Department thanks its media partners for sharing
images of the suspect with their audiences. Following that coverage, a
community
member recognized Taylor and contacted CPD.
Taylor is currently charged with Aggravated Robbery related to the October
6 incident. Additional charges are forthcoming for the robbery and
attempted robbery that occurred on October 4. He is custody at the Hamilton
County Jail and Detention Center.
CPD also extends its appreciation to our law enforcement partners, the Bureau
of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), the Federal Bureau of
Investigation (FBI), and the U.S. Marshals Service, for their assistance in
