Chattanooga Police Officers Recognized For DUI Enforcement Efforts At MADD Night Of Remembrance Ceremony

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Chattanooga Police Department (CPD) is proud to
announce the recognition of three of its officers by Mothers Against Drunk
Driving (MADD) for their DUI enforcement efforts, including the most DUI
arrests and convictions in Tennessee.

The CPD Traffic and DUI Unit attended the recent MADD Night of Remembrance
and Law Enforcement Recognition event in Murfreesboro. During the ceremony,
110 officers, deputies, and troopers from across the state were recognized
for their DUI enforcement efforts.

CPD Master Patrol Officer Jennifer Lockhart was recognized for her 107 DUI
arrests. Not only did she make the most DUI arrests in Tennessee for 2024,
she had the highest number of DUI convictions. Master Patrol Officer Ryan
Lynn was also recognized for making 79 DUI arrests, and Officer Job Basilis
for making 26 DUI arrests.

“As the supervisor for this unit, I am extremely proud of their efforts in
DUI enforcement. These investigators are dedicated to traffic safety
enforcement and education,” said Sergeant Jeff Buckner. “Chattanooga’s DUI
unit is out every weekend and on holidays, enforcing DUI and traffic laws.
They also participate in events around the city educating people on the
devastating consequences a DUI can have. Their ultimate goal is preventing
another person from being killed by a impaired driver.”

Each officer was awarded a pin symbolizing the intoxicated drivers they
removed from the roads.These pins were presented by someone whose loved one
was killed or injured by a DUI driver.

MADD also recognized senators, prosecutors, and other members of the
justice system for their efforts in helping enforce against drunk driving
and remembered officers who were killed in the line of duty.
