East Lake residents are safe after an early Thursday morning house fire. At 4:46 AM on 11/13/25, Hamilton County 911 received reports that a house was on fire in the 4800 block of 16th Avenue. The occupants had been asleep when they heard their dog barking and smelled smoke. They then discovered the front of the residence on fire. They got out safely with their pets.
Engine 9 arrived on scene and found flames coming from the front porch and a front bedroom. They initiated fire attack and a search of the house as a water supply was established. Crews continued working until the fire was out. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation. Engine 9, Engine 14, Engine 1, Ladder 1, Squad 1, Battalion 1 and Battalion 2 responded.
