Engine 8 initiated an offensive fire attack through the patio door. A water supply was established to Engine 8 to support suppression operations. Squad 7 arrived shortly thereafter and assisted Engine 8 with fire attack operations.

Fire crews conducted both primary and secondary searches of the involved unit and adjacent apartments. All occupants from neighboring units were evacuated as a precaution. The fire was brought under control and fully extinguished. The fire originated from a grease fire while cooking, which subsequently ignited and spread. Crews performed ventilation and cleared smoke from affected and adjacent units, then monitored conditions to ensure no further fire extension.

Overhaul operations were completed, equipment was gathered, and units returned to service. There were no injuries. Engine 8, Engine 21, Ladder 21, Engine 6, Ladder 6, Ladder 7, Squad 7, Battalion 2, and Battalion 3 responded.
