Public Meeting Announced for Hixson Pike Safety Improvements\

CHATTANOOGA, TN — On Wednesday, February 18th at Outdoor Chattanooga, 200 River Street, from 6pm to 7:30pm, Councilwoman Jenny Hill and the City of Chattanooga will host a public open house to present proposed safety improvements for the Hixson Pike corridor. A dedicated team of volunteers from five neighborhood associations have been working together with Councilwoman Hill and Public Works to gather community stakeholder input on how to improve safety along Hixson Pike from Fernway to Barton Avenue. Over the last year, surveys were conducted, neighborhood associations feedback collected, and public input sessions were well-attended. In May, recommendations were presented at the D2 Neighborhood Network gathering and the city has been developing drawings and considering options.Review & Feedback Opportunities

The event will feature an interactive layout to ensure the community can see exactly how these changes impact their daily routes:

- Visual Plans: Large-format maps displaying proposed drawings and design options.
- Fiscal Transparency: Handouts featuring detailed pricing estimates for each project tier.
- Expert Insight: Staff will be on hand to explain the rationale behind each safety configuration.
