Due to the size of the equipment and the nature of the overhead work, the following safety restrictions will be in effect from 7:00 AM until approximately 12:00 PM:
-
Market Street Bridge: The west sidewalk will be strictly prohibited to all pedestrian traffic. Please utilize the east sidewalk as an alternative route.
-
The Passage: Access via the Market Street entrance will be closed to the public for the duration of the lift.
Justin Strickland with the Public Works Transportation Division states that "We’ve coordinated closely with the project teams to ensure the work is completed efficiently while keeping pedestrian traffic a safe distance from the site. We encourage everyone to plan for a slight detour if they're heading downtown Saturday morning."
