. – On December 13, 2025, at 06:50 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to
a report of a pedestrian struck at 5321 Brainerd Rd. The crash resulted in
critical injuries.
The Chattanooga Police Department’s Traffic/DUI Unit responded to conduct
the investigation. Preliminary findings indicate the pedestrian was
standing in the middle of the two-way turn lane at 5300 Brainerd Rd. when a
vehicle entered the turn lane and struck the pedestrian.
The vehicle left the scene. The suspect vehicle is a white Chevy Colorado
truck.
The victim, a 55-year-old male, was transported by Hamilton County EMS from
the scene to the hospital, where he is currently listed as critical but
stable.
