CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. On February 9, 2025, at 1:03 a.m., Chattanooga
Police responded to a person shot call in the 5000 block of Woodland View
Circle. When the officers arrived on the scene, they found a 17-year-old
girl with life-threatening injuries and a 16-year-old girl with
non-life-threatening injuries.
Chattanooga Fire and Hamilton County EMS responded to the scene and
transported the victims to a local hospital.
CPD's Homicide Unit responded to conduct the investigation. The Crime
Scene Unit responded to process the crime scene.
The preliminary investigation provided witnesses who identified the suspect
as 21-year-old Da'Shaun Foster. The witnesses told the investigators that
Da'Shaun was in a fight with another male then went inside a residence on
Woodland View Circle to get a firearm. Da'Shaun came back outside and
began shooting at the person he was fighting and the two victims that were
shot.
The Homicide Investigator obtained arrest warrants charging Da'Shaun Foster
with Attempted First Degree Murder (3 counts) and Aggravated Assault (3
counts).
Da'Shaun was located by CPD Neighborhood Policing Officers. He was
arrested and transported to the Hamilton County Jail and Detention Center.
