At 2:11 PM on Sunday (2/23/25), Ladder 19 Green Shift responded to a motor vehicle accident involving a vehicle into a building in the 5000 block of Hixson Pike. Ladder 19 arrived on scene, assessed the situation and called for Squad 19 to respond for assistance. One adult elderly male was driving when the accident occurred. When CFD got to the scene, the driver had already self-extricated. HCEMS arrived to treat and transport the driver. Squad 19 and Ladder 19 then called for a wrecker service. Battalion 3 also responded. Squad 19 assisted the wrecker driver with safely removing the vehicle from the wall without additional damage being done to the building. Once the vehicle was removed, Squad 19 and Ladder 19 returned to service.
