. – On September 30, 2025, at 1:54 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to
a three-vehicle crash in the 3600 block of Amnicola Highway that resulted
in the death of a 60-year-old woman.
The CPD Traffic/DUI Unit is leading the investigation. Preliminary findings
indicate the woman was driving a Chevy Captiva (Vehicle 1) northbound in an
erratic manner when her vehicle sideswiped a southbound Peterbilt (Vehicle
2) and then struck a southbound Chevy Express (Vehicle 3) head-on.
Hamilton County EMS transported the driver of the Captiva to a hospital,
where she was pronounced deceased. The driver and passenger of the Chevy
Express were also taken to a hospital by Hamilton County EMS for treatment
of their injuries. The driver of the Peterbilt was not injured.
This investigation remains active and ongoing. Anyone with information is
