Tremont St. Fire Response

At 8:32 this morning the Chattanooga Fire Department was dispatched to a residential structure fire on Tremont St. Neighbors noticed smoke coming from the structure. CFD E12, E16, Squad 1 and Ladder 1, BC1 and 3 responded and found heavy smoke showing once on scene. Crews made a quick interior attack and a search was performed of the residence to make sure all occupants were out of the structure. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The fire displaced the residents and the American Red Cross is assisting. One firefighter received minor burns and was seen and released from an area hospital.
