Jump to:

A Chattanooga family was displaced late Tuesday night due to a kitchen fire. At 11:35 PM on 2/18/25, Green Shift companies responded to a home on Badger Lane near the Dunkin on Highway 58 after Hamilton County 911 received a call from the residents that a grease fire in the kitchen had gotten out of hand. Calls from witnesses in the area started to flood 911 indicating that flames were visible. All occupants exited safely. Chattanooga firefighters arrived and found heavy smoke coming from the back of the house. They launched a fire attack and had the majority of flames knocked down by 11:54 PM, but some fire extended into the attic. Crews continued working until everything was fully extinguished. There were no injuries. Engine 6, Squad 7, Ladder 7, Engine 4, Engine 8, Battalion 2 and Battalion 3 were on the call.

At the same time CFD personnel were working on the Badger Lane scene, other units responded to another fire at 12:28 AM on 2/19/25 in the 3800 block of Monte Vista Drive. They found the deck behind a house fully engulfed. The occupants and their pets were safe. Crews worked to extinguish that fire as well. No injuries. Ladder 5, Engine 4, Engine 5, Engine 15, Ladder 13, Squad 13, Battalion 1 and Battalion 3 responded.
