978 Wauhatchie Pike - Norfolk Southern Grade Crossing <https://maps.app.goo.gl/dx9cboAovZEfNM3t5>

From Monday, March 2nd until Friday, March 6th, the Norfolk Southern grade crossing located at 978 Wauhatchie Pike will be closed to all traffic for rebuilding. Alternative routes can be made via RTE 11/Birmingham HWY and Cummings Road. Detours will be posted.

Old Lee Hwy / Bonnie Oaks Lane Closures at I-75 <https://maps.app.goo.gl/RK9sTYpCiAfWaJpUA>

Beginning Tuesday, March 3rd and estimated to last for eight months, the following will be closed as part of TDOT’s Hamilton Place Improvement Project:

- The dedicated left turn lanes <https://maps.app.goo.gl/4a5B1D45gonWHgiw5> onto I-75 southbound from Old Lee Hwy/Bonnie Oaks westbound will be reduced to a single turn lane

The lane reduction will maintain access onto I-75 southbound, but capacity will be reduced by half. This could result in additional traffic and delays during the morning commute on Jenkins Road (northbound turning onto Old Lee
Hwy) and Old Lee Hwy southbound.

City signal engineers are actively working with TDOT to adjust traffic light timings to limit delays and will continue to mo itor the affected intersections.

The Market Street Bridge is scheduled for TDOT’s quarterly testing on Sunday, March 8th from 7 AM until 3 PM (estimated). No vehicle or pedestrian traffic will be permitted between Frazier Ave and E 1st Street/Aquarium Way during the testing.

- W 4th Street, HWY 27, Manufacturers Blvd, Cherokee Blvd to Frazier Ave
- E 4th Street, Georgia Ave / Barton Ave to Frazier Ave
 

Pedestrian Detour

- Sidewalks and dedicated pedestrian/bikeway via E Aquarium Way, Riverfront Parkway, ramp onto Veterans’ Bridge on dedicated pathway, 

Frazier Ave

The 300 block of Market Street between E 3rd Street and E 4th Street will be reduced to a single lane in each direction starting Monday, March 9th through Friday, March 13th for a street cut. Please allow for additional travel time, especially during the morning and evening commute.
