Upcoming Construction Related Road Closures / Market Street at 4th Street Intersection Closure

UPCOMING CONSTRUCTION CLOSURES 

For the week of February 16-22, 2026

As part of ongoing efforts to upgrade traffic lights and intersection infrastructure, the control cabinet at the intersection of Market Street and 4th Street will be replaced. To safely complete the replacement, the following restrictions will take place on Tuesday, February 17th at 11:00 PM for an estimated 2-3 hours:

• Market Street will be closed to all through traffic between E 3rd Street and E 5th Street; Detours will be posted.
• All left turn lanes from E 4th Street to Market Street will be closed.
• E 4th Street will remain open through the intersection; however, lanes will narrow, and all vehicles will need to stop at the intersection (traffic lights will be off, mandating an all-stop).
• E 19th Street <https://maps.app.goo.gl/QDj2Tt6H3EwmC9Mk9>
• E 19th Street between Mulberry Street and S Beech Street will be closed Wednesday, February 18th, until Wednesday, February 25th for sewer main repair. Detours will be posted.
• W 13th Street <https://maps.app.goo.gl/eiDBpfSom6ym6cKM8>
• W 13th Street between Market Street and Cowart Street will be closed Wednesday, February 18th, from 9 AM until 4 PM for a crane lift. Detours will be posted.
